Nessebar is a charming, historic town, situated on a rocky peninsula in the immediate vicinity of the seaside resorts such as Burgas, Pomorie and Sunny Beach. It is a must visit for all visitors to the Bulgarian Riviera. This is the oldest town in Bulgaria, and therefore unique. While the entire peninsula can be circumvented in about 40 minutes, and all the sights in the next 1.5 hours, a small town because of its nature, certainly deserves a visit. Nessebar to the biggest attractions are the Byzantine churches and monasteries, and the mood of the town building: typical houses, winding streets, Chutes, antique shops and cozy cafes and restaurants.
